CityWide was a large-scale, multi-site pop-up musical event that took place on a sunny June day. Commissioned as the kickoff to the 2013 International Cello Festival of Canada, it involved over 50 cellists performing simultaneous recitals across the cities of Winnipeg, Brandon and Morden, Manitoba. Coffee shops, restaurants, hair salons, art galleries, libraries and even the Manitoba legislature welcomed cello soloists and ensembles into their spaces to play at the stroke of noon. It was glorious. Special thanks to project assistant Maria Cherwick.
